The 2024 Cadillac CT4

To kick things off, we have the 2024 Cadillac CT4, a small luxury sedan that’s a perfect choice if you need something modest in size but with plenty of style and sophistication to go around. The CT4 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that delivers 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, so you know it’s fun to drive and feels fantastic when you’re behind the wheel. A rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard on the CT4, but we strongly suggest a model with the available all-wheel drive (AWD) for better control and traction in Belle Plaine in the winter.

Three different trims are available for the CT4: the standard Luxury model, a Premium Luxury option, or a Sport trim. The CT4 Luxury comes with 17-inch Bright Silver wheels wrapped in all-season tires, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and body-color exterior details. Moving up to the final Sport trim, we find a body-color rear spoiler for a touch of sporty flare, brushed metal alloy sport pedals with raised rubber surfaces for traction, and 18-way power-adjustable front bucket seats for added comfort.

The 2024 Cadillac CT4 V-Series

If you like the look and size of the standard CT4 but want boosted power and performance, you should check out the V-Series models. You have two options: the standard CT4-V or the CT4-V Blackwing, so we’ll look at both. The CT4-V comes with a 2.7L Dual Volute turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 325 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission (this engine is available for the CT4 Premium Luxury trim we looked at above). It features Brembo performance brakes up front to grant you better control over all this power, plus you get your choice of RWD or AWD. This incredible car even has a 14-speaker Bose premium sound system inside to ensure a great time on the road.

For even greater power, there’s the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, which features a 3.6L Twin Turbo V6 that puts out an incredible 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. The CT4-V is pure performance and luxury; you can choose a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic, whichever you prefer. You get 18-inch wheels wrapped in high-performance summer-only tires (so keep that in mind before winter hits Belle Plaine), plus gorgeous visual and tech details inside and out. For example, the Blackwing features a 15-speaker AKG Premium Surround Sound system, with 18-way performance front bucket seats, a 12-inch reconfigurable driver cluster display, and much more.

The 2024 Cadillac CT5

For something more prominent than the CT4 models, the 2024 Cadillac CT5 is a midsize luxury sedan that’s perfect if you need a car for transporting the family or simply prefer a bigger trunk. Beyond the difference in size, there are a number of similarities and differences between this and the CT4, such as the CT5 featuring the same 2.0L twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the CT4, with 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Much like the CT4, it has a 10-speed automatic transmission and is available with RWD or AWD. Again, we suggest AWD for dealing with those brutal winters in Belle Plaine or around Minneapolis.

The Cadillac CT5 has three trims with the same naming scheme as the CT4 trims: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Many features and options are similar between their counterparts, such as the Premium Luxury giving you two engines to choose from, and the Sport model having details like a body-color rear spoiler and front bucket seats. More prominently, the CT5 has a larger 10-inch Infotainment display and a standard nine-speaker sound system. However, many of its other differences come down to size.

While both of these sedans comfortably fit up to five passengers, the CT4 has about 38 inches of front headroom and 42 inches of front legroom, plus about 36 inches of second-row headroom and just over 33 inches of legroom in the back, as well as 10.7 cu.ft. of trunk volume. By comparison, the 2024 CT5 has 39 inches of front headroom and more than 42 inches of front legroom, plus more than 36 inches of second-row headroom and nearly 38 inches of legroom in the back. The bigger size of the CT5 gives you nearly 12 cu.ft. of trunk volume, providing you with much more space to load up with everything you need.

The 2024 Cadillac CT5 V-Series

Finally, we come to the CT5 V-Series, similar to the CT4 V-Series. The similarities extend to your model choices: the base CT5-V and the more performance-heavy CT5-V Blackwing. The major difference, however, is what this performance means: the CT5-V comes with a 3.0L Twin Turbo V6 engine that delivers 360 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. You can see this is quite a bit more powerful than the CT4-V, and it comes with a 10-speed automatic and launch control for boosted acceleration from a stop.

The CT5 V-Blackwing is the high-performance star of the Cadillac lineup thanks to its monster of a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that roars to life with 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. You can get this with a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic. It comes with a high-performance suspension, a custom launch control system, and Brembo’s high-performance front and rear brakes to grant you as much control as possible over all this power. Naturally, this power is combined with exquisite luxury, including an AKG Premium 16-speaker audio system, 18-way performance front bucket seats with leather seating, alloy sport pedals, and much more.
